    Todd Hollenshead:

DOOM III will change what people expect to see and experience in a PC game. We couldn´t be more psyched about DOOM III, and are thrilled to debut the title at E3 with Activision. Get ready to be terrified.

Neue id Mitarbeiter

Wer sich wie z.B. Doomworld die neue id Software Seite genauer angesehen hat, der wird vier neue Mitarbeiter im Team von id entdecken:

  • Andy Chang: Worked as a texture artist on Third Law´s KISS: Psycho Circus.
  • Steven Rescoe: Was a famous Quake 1 mapper who was snagged by ION Storm to work on Anachronox.
  • Matt Hooper: Worked for Third Law Interactive, Monolith and Tremor, Ritual Entertainment, and ION Storm as a level designer. Worked in Daikatana and before that on Ritual´s Quake 1 mission pack, Scourge of Armagon.
  • Pat Duffy: Was (is?) a member of the Radiant web staff — probably responsible for the redesign.

Fortsetzung von RTCW?

In einem neuen Interview hat Kevin Cloud von id Software folgendes von sich gegeben:

Kevin: The group of people at Gray Matter is huge fans of the original game and had wanted to do a follow up for quite some time. They did a ton of research on real Nazi projects and experiments during World War II, took it a slight step further (although you’d be surprised with the bizarre stuff the Nazis believed and were trying to do). We’ve used the X-Files type analogy a number of times, but they really did do a great job mixing the bizarre ideas and imagery with the more familiar World War II settings, to create that type of feeling when you’re playing. There will be another Wolfenstein game. Hopefully we´ll get a chance to work with Gray Matter again. Drew and I will probably meet sometimes later this year to discuss it.
