id Software Co-Founders werden auf der QuakeCon 2026 sein

John Romero schreibt in seinem Email Verteiler folgendes.

QuakeCon 2026,  August 6 – 9, Grapevine, Texas

I’m really looking forward to August 6 at QuakeCon, where I’ll be reuniting with my fellow id Software co-founders, John Carmack, Adrian Carmack, and Tom Hall, to celebrate QuakeCon’s 30th anniversary and id Software’s 35th year.

The four of us have not been together since 1993, so this is a unique opportunity to talk about those early days at id: the late nights, the breakthroughs, the challenges, and the fun of creating Commander Keen, Wolfenstein 3D, DOOM, and Quake. David Craddock will be moderating the discussion, and I know he’ll have plenty of great questions to get the stories flowing.

It’s incredible that, thirty years after Quake, people are still playing these games, making mods, speedrunning them, and introducing them to new generations. Seeing that passion reinforces why these games live on.

If you’re coming to QuakeCon, I hope you’ll join us. It’s going to be a lot of fun, and I can’t wait to see everyone there. — John

Ich schätze es wird im QuakeCon Livestream oder später als VOD ein oder zwei Diskussionsrunden (Panel Events) mit den Vieren geben.
