Rage 2 – Rise of the Ghosts DLC veröffentlicht

Für Rage 2 ist das Rise of the Ghosts-DLC veröffentlicht worden. Gekauft oder nicht, Rage 2 wird auf PC mit dem DLC geupdatet. Der Download ist rund 35 GB gross. Ich glaube so um 17 Uhr herum war das DLC veröffentlicht.

Um 19 Uhr wird es einen Livestream zum Launch geben, welcher später als VOD erhältlich sein wird. (twitch)

  • New Faction: Ghosts
    Powered by Feltrite and armed with their own nanotrite abilities, the Ghosts have been left to their own devices for years. While growing their army in the Overgrown City, they’ve under undergone intensive brainwashing and formed a cult around Iris’ ideals.

    Explore a city overtaken by nature, where even the air is choked with Feltrite dust. The Overgrown City is home to a band of friendly survivors looking to take back their island from the Ghosts.
  • New Weapon: Feltrite Laser Launcher
    This powerful new weapon incinerates any enemies in its path with a lethal Feltrite-infused beam. Just make sure it’s charged up and you’ll be ready to go.
  • New Ability: Void
    Target an enemy with Void to grab them and suspend them in the air ragdoll-style before sending them flying with Shatter, or focus the ability to make your target’s head explode. Either way, you’re probably having a good time.
  • New Vehicle: Ghost Motorcycle
    With all the heavy Feltrite pollution in the air you’ll want to stick close to the ground, but you can make your way through the Overgrown City in style with the new Ghost motorcycle.

So gehts zum DLC
Offizielles FAQ zum DLC (steam). Nach Kauf erreicht den Spieler ein Hilfesignal zu einer neuen Arche (orange). Dort ist der Einstieg zum DLC zu finden. Die untere Insel ist das neue Gebiet der Ghosts und ist damit abgetrennt vom Maingame udn erzählt einen eigenen Storybogen.

Story
Die ehemalige Rangerin und Verstossene Iris hat den Ghosts Clan unter Kontrolle gebracht. Die Ghosts ernten aus unbekannten Gründen Feltrite im Gebiet Overgrown City, was zur Vergiftung der Umwelt geführt hat. Zivilisten bitten Walker ihnen zu helfen.

Der Spielanfang
Starker Story Einstieg ins DLC, Iris stellt sich vor. Es gibt Jumppads und die Ghosts sind superschnell durch Teil-Teleportation (youtube). Was auf der Insel weiter los ist, weiss ich bisher nicht.

Kommentar zum Kaufvorgang
Entweder man gradet im Spiel digital im Store auf die Deluxe Edition auf und erhält so das DLC (Wert 20 Euro) oder man wählt das DLC einzeln aus (Wert 15 Euro). Gekauft werden dazu Münzen und diese werden eingelöst.

Ich muss mal sagen das mir die eigene Münzen Währung, um das DLC kaufen zu können, echt auf die Nerven geht. Buh! Dieses ganze online ausgefülle über Beth Launcher + Webseite suckt total (Perso Abfrage, Rechnungsadresse). Das gute an digitalen Käufen „war“ immer die Einfachheit was zu kaufen.
