Slipgate Studios sind jetzt Slipgate Ironworks

Slipgate Studios will in the future be referred to as Slipgate Ironworks. There are a few reasons for this. First of all, we’ve experienced some confusion between us and the „Other“ Slipgate Studios. A VR focused company from Las Vegas. To help fix this, we’ve decided to take over John Romero’s name and trademark for Slipgate Ironworks. A name he established over a decade ago. Adopting the Slipgate Ironworks name from the father of the First Person Shooter is an honor for all of us at the studio. Not only do our games resonate with the spirit of Romero’s work – With games like the recently announced Quake-Engine Shooter WRATH: Aeon of Ruin (Which we’re currently co-developing), the name and timing couldn’t be more fitting. Goodbye Slipgate Studios – Hello Slipgate Ironworks!
